Oil acid tester

Tester for checking the acid content of oil in refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
Applicability to mineral and alkylbenzene oils.
The acid test consists of a smaller glass container, and a larger one.
Pour the contents of the smaller bottle into the larger bottle. The bottom layer of the new mixture will turn purple. Fill the smaller container with the oil to be tested. Then pour the contents into the larger bottle, close and shake. In a few minutes, two different layers are created. If the lower layer loses its purple color, it means that the acidity level of the oil is at least 0.05.
Systems with acidity levels above 0.05 should be cleaned and treated with anti-acid substances.
